In a video shared on social media, a reporter asked Fawad Khan how his experience has been as a judge on Pakistan Idol. Smiling, Fawad replied that the nation already knows what it wants to know, and these days everyone knows everything.
Fawad said that Pakistan Idol is an entertainment platform created to give young artists a chance to perform and show their talent.
He explained that whenever he joins such shows as a judge, he remembers his past days when he took part in two or maybe three seasons of Battle of the Bands many years ago.
Fawad shared that Pakistan Idol has always been a fun platform where many talented artists have been discovered. He said he wishes the best for all the contestants and feels honored to watch them perform on stage.
Fawad added that when he sits there as a judge, he feels like part of the audience, which is why he claps for the participants in his usual graceful way.
He also mentioned that the sad part of such shows is that only one person wins in the end. However, he always tells the contestants that being on such a stage is just their introduction — now the world has seen them and knows their names.
According to him, the real purpose of the show is to give proper exposure to talent.
Earlier, a video of Fawad Khan had gone viral in which he talked about his upcoming film Neelofar and said that he has not sung any song in it. Laughing, he added that even in Pakistan, he is not being allowed to sing.
It is important to mention that a few days ago, singer Humaira Arshad criticized Fawad Khan’s inclusion as a judge on Pakistan Idol, saying that artists who have no connection with music should not be judges.
At present, Fawad Khan is part of the judges’ panel for Pakistan Idol Season 2 along with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Bilal Maqsood, and Zeb Bangash.
