People in Egypt were shocked when the truth about a popular female TikTok influencer named Yasmin was revealed.

According to Arab media, the matter came to light after police received many complaints about Yasmin’s dance videos.

When the police called her for questioning, it was discovered that Yasmin was not a girl but actually an 18 year old boy named Abdul Rahman.

The young student admitted that he created the account only to gain followers and earn money.

The court first sent him on a four day remand but later released him on bail after he paid 5000 Egyptian pounds which is about 105 dollars.

Abdul Rahman lives in a village with his divorced mother. Locals said he was a quiet and simple boy studying at an institute of tourism and hotel management.

One neighbor said they were shocked because they always saw him as a normal boy but he had fooled the world by pretending to be a girl.

The interior ministry spokesperson confirmed that Abdul Rahman was charged with impersonating a woman and posting immoral content.

This case appeared at a time when Egyptian authorities are actively taking action against immoral content on social media. In recent years, many famous female TikTok influencers have also been arrested for uploading vulgar or inappropriate videos, and some were even sent to jail.
