Senior Pakistani actor Firdous Jamal has once again made headlines for his controversial statements. During a podcast, he made negative comments about several famous and legendary actors of the past, which has sparked a new debate in the showbiz industry and social media.
Firdous Jamal said about Rahat Kazmi that he was a ‘show piece’. He said about legendary actor Abid Ali that he was a ‘selfish’ person and a B-class person. He called Talat Hussain a ‘stereotypical actor’ and described his acting as ‘cheap theatricality’.
Talking about Talat Hussain, he said that he could not impress me. And about Khayyam Sarhadi, he said that he was an incomprehensible person. We called his acting crazy.
He said about Qavi Khan that he tried but sometimes could not do it. He described Shujaat Hashmi as a selfish person who calls himself an actor. While he commented about Shafi Muhammad that he used to present himself on the screen.
After these statements, a strong reaction is coming out on social media. According to some users, this is Firdous Jamal’s personal point of view, however, the majority has called it an insult to the great and legendary artists of the past.
