Ramadan plays are popular among Pakistanis, and each year, a few big blockbusters emerge, with the stars of such dramas becoming household names. Last year, we had Fairy Tale, and this year, we have a new coupling on Geo. Geo has also shown some excellent Ramadan dramas, such as Chaudhry and Sons, and this year they want to reunite Talha Chahour and Kabli Pulao lover Sabeena Farooq together on television.
The actors were seen hanging together in old Lahore, and rumors circulated that they were working together. Given the Lahori heritage, we may be watching a Ramadan drama with a Punjabi twist. Both of these performers’ fans would love to see them in a Ramadan play.
Ali Faizan will direct the play, which was penned by Samra Bukhari. Ali Faizan directed Mere Humnasheen and Jhoom, and his Khumaar is now airing on television.
