Indian TV actor Yogesh Tripathi once used to sell pens on the streets and had no home to live in. According to Indian media, Yogesh, who became famous for playing Happu Singh in the drama Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain, was once forced to spend nights at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminal railway station.
With a dream of becoming an actor, Yogesh moved from Uttar Pradesh to Mumbai in 2004. He worked as a background artist in stage plays and sold pens on the streets to cover his expenses.
He said he used to lie to his family, telling them he was doing a computer course, while in reality, he was busy with theatre. In 2007, he got his first chance on TV through an advertisement and later appeared in the popular drama FIR. After that, he worked in many projects.
The comedy show Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain made him very popular for his role as Happu Singh. Today, he owns four houses and earns nearly 2.4 million rupees per month.
Yogesh says he achieved this success through hard work and dedication and still loves his work deeply.
