Host and actor Sahir Lodhi shared his opinion about mimicry videos of actors and said that he would never behave like that with anyone.
Recently, Sahir Lodhi’s videos went viral on social media, where he introduced a unique style. In those videos, he acted as if he did not know the person making the video, even though the clips were recorded and uploaded by his own cameraman.
His dialogues in the videos, Jee Bhai and Haan Bhai, became very popular. Some famous actors, including Faisal Qureshi, Yasir Nawaz, and Aijaz Aslam, copied his style and made funny videos. However, actress Mehwish Hayat did not like these mimicry clips and advised fellow actors to respect Sahir Lodhi.
Recently, Sahir appeared on FHM’s podcast and shared his view on the matter. He said that every person has the right to like or dislike someone, and this right has been given by God. That is why he cannot stop anyone from expressing their opinion. People are free to admire or not admire him.
He added that the kind of reaction people showed through mimicry is something he would never do to others. But he also believes the actors made those videos just for fun, and he respects everyone.
Sahir also mentioned that he has not met Mehwish Hayat in years. He was traveling when his videos were already trending as memes, and at the same time, Mehwish Hayat’s post about him appeared online. Seeing her support really touched him.
He said he is thankful to Mehwish Hayat and believes that sometimes a person truly needs the support of others.
