Namak Haram was a much-anticipated drama since it marked Imran Ashraf and Sarah Khan’s reunion. The drama performed well on TRP charts and YouTube views, however it concluded in a way that the public did not enjoy. For weeks, the audience had waited for Mureed, the son of a rape victim, to revenge his mother and finally bring Amin Qureshi, portrayed by Babar Ali, to justice, but the climax was foolish, abrupt, and made no sense.
In the end, Amin Qureshi easily killed Mureed and went to jail, while Asma, played by Sarah Khan, gave birth to their baby and raised him as a single mother living a terrible existence surrounded by her late husband’s hallucinations.
Imran Ashraf is now anchoring Mazaq Raat, and he had something to say regarding the conclusion of Namak Haram. He thanked everyone for enjoying the show, and one audience member wished he had murdered Amin Qureshi. He stated that the finale was not what people expected and was definitely a surprise, but they will meet again on another program.
