India beat South Africa in the third ODI to win the series

India won the series by defeating South Africa by 9 wickets in the third ODI. In the series decider played in Visakhapatnam, India finally won the toss after 20 matches and invited South Africa to bat first. Batting first, South Africa were bowled out for 270 in 47.5 overs.

Quinton de Kock was the top scorer for the Proteas with 106 runs. Captain Temba Bavuma made 48, Dewald Brewers 29, Matthew Britzke 24, Marco Jensen 17, Corbin Bosh 9, Otneil Baartman 3, Aiden Markram 1, Lungi Ngidi 1 and Ryan Rickelton 0 were out for individual scores.

Keshav Maharaj returned to the pavilion not out after scoring 20 runs.

Kuldeep Yadav and Prasad Krishna took 4 wickets each for India. Arsdeep Singh and Ravindra Jadeja took 1 wicket each.

In reply, India achieved the target of 271 runs in the 40th over for the loss of 1 wicket.

Yashasvi Jaiswal was the standout batsman with an unbeaten 116. Virat Kohli played an unbeaten innings of 65 runs while Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 75 runs. Keshav Maharaj took 1 wicket for the Proteas.
