South Indian legendary actor Chiranjeevi has filed an official police complaint against fake AI-generated obscene videos made using his name. He said these videos were created to harm his reputation and hurt his feelings.

After his complaint, Hyderabad Cybercrime Police registered a case under several sections related to AI-based deepfake obscene content. The 70-year-old actor from Andhra Pradesh has been active in the Telugu film industry for decades.

Police said the videos under investigation show the actor in fake and indecent scenes. Chiranjeevi said the content was made with bad intentions to present him in an immoral way and damage his public image.

He added that this act has caused him and his family great mental stress and has also tried to mislead the public.

Police have linked the case to the growing problem of deepfake videos and cyber harassment and have started their investigation.
