Indian actress and model Khushi Mukherjee has finally admitted that she went through depression and shared some personal secrets.
Khushi, who is often criticized for her bold outfits, recently gave an interview where she opened up about her personal life, love, marriage plans, and struggle with depression.
Known for her bold screen presence, Khushi said that she went through a failed love story, which left her emotionally broken and deeply depressed.
She said she wanted to change her life, but there came a time when nothing felt right. Her heart was broken, she lost trust, and she started feeling completely alone.
Talking about the pain of being cheated, even after being in a relationship for one and a half years and planning to get married, she said there came a moment when she thought about changing her name, quitting acting, deleting Instagram, and living a simple, peaceful life.
Khushi shared that this happened because her boyfriend suddenly cut all contact and disappeared without saying anything.
She said he gave her many promises and even told her their horoscopes matched. That is why they were planning to get engaged in December 2023. But he suddenly disappeared.
She also revealed that he made up a fake story, saying he had to hide somewhere, and then he didn’t contact her for months.
Talking more about this painful time in her life, Khushi said she went into deep depression after this breakup.
She said she started blaming herself and everyone around her for his leaving. She even told her mother that maybe she became too friendly with him.
Khushi also said that during that time, she lost her own identity because she was only focused on getting married. She thinks maybe that’s why he left her. If she had been more confident, like a boss lady, he would have been afraid to lose her.
While talking about marriage, she said that getting married is not necessary anymore. Now she wants to live her life for herself.
According to Khushi, the failure in love badly affected her mental health, and she stayed under emotional and mental stress for a long time.
