Mumbai (March 18, 2026): A court decision has been made regarding the re-jail of famous Indian actor Rajpal Yadav in the cheque bounce case.

According to Indian media, the Delhi High Court heard the cheque bounce case of Rs 9 crore involving Rajpal Yadav. The court observed that since the actor has deposited a large part of the amount, he will not be sent to jail again.

During the hearing, Rajpal Yadav’s lawyer informed the court that an application for regular bail has been filed, and also informed that the interim bail granted earlier is ending today. The Delhi High Court was informed that Rs 4.25 crore has been paid to Muralidhar Projects Private Limited so far and a demand draft of Rs 25 lakh is being submitted today.

Keeping these statements in mind, the High Court remarked that since a large amount has been deposited, the actor will not be sent to jail.

It is to be noted that Rajpal Yadav was released from Tihar Jail on February 17 after depositing Rs 1.5 crore in a cheque bounce case of Rs 9 crore.

Earlier, he surrendered on February 5 after the Delhi High Court rejected his plea for more time to return the money.
