The highly anticipated film of 2025, War 2, has fans counting down the days—but a recent statement by actress Vaani Kapoor has stirred quite a buzz.
Vaani, who played a key role in the original War, is not part of the upcoming sequel. Her reaction to being left out of War 2 has become a talking point.
Ever since the teaser of War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji, was released, fans have eagerly awaited the intense face-off between Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR. Alongside this, the shift in cast members has also sparked conversation.
In a recent interview, Vaani Kapoor addressed not being part of War 2, clarifying that she holds no resentment or complaints.
Speaking to Siddharth Kannan, when asked if she felt she should have been part of War 2, Vaani responded with best wishes for the current team. She gracefully said she was simply grateful to have been part of a film like War.
She praised the sequel, saying, “The film not only looks stunning, but it’s cinematic and on a grand scale. My salute to the team.”
On a light note, Vaani also joked about neither Tiger Shroff nor the original War director Siddharth Anand returning for the sequel, saying, “Me, Siddharth, and Tiger—all three of us are not in War 2. Since both Tiger’s and my characters died in the first film, I said, ‘If Tiger comes back, I’ll come back too, friend!’”
It’s also worth noting that Ayan Mukerji and Yash Raj Films have finalized the trailer cut for their action-packed film War 2, which is expected to be launched by mid-next week.
