Renowned Indian director Karan Johar recently made a surprising revelation about the marriage of former Indian captain Virat Kohli and actress Anushka Sharma.
Bollywood director Karan Johar, 53, spoke openly about weddings in India during a conversation with Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s wedding planner Devika Narayan in one of his podcasts.
Karan Johar said that the style and DNA of weddings, especially destination weddings, have now changed and I will give full credit for this to the marriage of Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli.
The Bollywood director continued, “I remember that until the day of Virat and Anushka’s wedding, no one knew that it was going to happen and during that time, this was the only news that was going viral in the entire country.”
Karan Johar, describing the couple’s wedding ceremony as a ‘secret operation’, said that there was no indication that the wedding was going to happen before the event.
It should be noted that actress Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli got married in Tuscany, Italy, in December 2017 after a year of dating and they have two children, 4-year-old daughter Vamika and one-year-old son Akai, with whom they have settled in London.
