Bollywood’s renowned director and producer Karan Johar has made an interesting revelation about his feminine mannerisms.

In a podcast with Indian tennis star Sania Mirza, Bollywood director, producer and actor Karan Johar revealed that his voice and mannerisms were feminine until the age of 15.

According to Karan Johar, ‘I was fond of speaking and tableau since childhood and also took a course for that.’

According to the director, in 1989, the coaching teacher pointed out that my voice and mannerisms were like girls and because of this, I could face a lot of problems in the future because people in society would make fun of me.

“They told me that you are intelligent and can learn, while your personality is attractive, I will help you and make your voice like a man’s.”

Karan Johar said that for three years, the teacher took two-hour classes three days a week, but he did not tell his family about it to avoid embarrassment.

He said that I took coaching classes for three years to make my voice like a boy’s and then my voice improved a bit and this was at a time when children my age were playing cricket.

According to the director, he lied to his father that he was taking classes to learn computers and also charged his family for the same.

He said that in three years, when he was about 19 years old, his voice, mannerisms and style all changed and he is grateful to his teacher for this.
