Kareena Kapoor Khan is not only a style icon and talented actress, but she is also one of the fittest celebrities in the Indian film industry.
Thanks to social media, people know that Kareena follows a very strict workout routine. She does yoga, strength training, pilates, and cardio exercises regularly.
But experts say that 80% of fitness depends on what a person eats — their diet.
Interestingly, Kareena calls herself a “foodie” just like other people in her Punjabi family. She has tasted food from all over the world.
However, a surprising fact about her diet has come out recently:
Kareena has been eating almost the same kind of food every day for the last 18 years!
This was revealed by her longtime dietitian Rujuta Diwekar in an interview with “The Lallantop”. Rujuta said Kareena has followed the same diet plan since 2007.
Here is what Kareena usually eats every day:
- Early morning: almonds, raisins, or figs
- Breakfast: paratha or poha
- Lunch: dal (lentils) and rice
- Evening snack: sometimes cheese toast or seasonal fruits like mango or mango milkshake
- Dinner: homemade khichdi (rice-lentil mix) with ghee or pulao
Rujuta has been working with Kareena since 2008, when Kareena appeared in the film Tashan with her “size zero” look.
Rujuta also shared that one dish Kareena never leaves out of her diet is khichdi with ghee. She eats it most days of the week.
Kareena herself confirmed this in April during the launch of Rujuta’s book. She called khichdi her “comfort food” and said that if she knows it’s not on her meal plan, she can’t even sleep at night!
