Karishma’s first post surfaces after Sanjay Kapoor’s death
Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor has spoken for the first time after the sudden death of her ex-husband and father of her two children, Sanjay Kapur.
Even though Karisma and Sanjay’s divorce was not smooth, their relationship later improved for the sake of raising their children, Samaira and Kiaan. Their divorce made headlines in the media. During that time, Karisma had accused Sanjay of domestic violence and forcing her to sleep with his friends, while Sanjay claimed Karisma married him only for money.
They filed for divorce in 2014, and it was finalized in 2016.
Later on, they managed to build a better relationship, and Karisma was often seen happily spending time with Sanjay and his family along with their children.
That is why, when Sanjay suddenly passed away on June 12 after a heart attack caused by a bee entering his mouth while playing polo, Karisma actively participated in his final rites with her children.
She attended the funeral with her children Samaira and Kiaan and also traveled from Mumbai to Delhi for the prayer ceremony. Her sister Kareena Kapoor and brother-in-law Saif Ali Khan were also with her.
Even though Sanjay and Karisma had been separated for a long time and he was living a happy life with his third wife Priya Sachdev, Karisma’s name remained linked to him in media and social media due to her celebrity status.
Whenever Karisma was seen by cameras during this time, the sadness on her face was clear, but she chose to remain completely silent.
Her birthday also came during this tough time. On that day, Kareena shared a heartfelt note with a picture of Karisma and Sanjay, saying that it was her favorite photo of the two. She wrote that Karisma is the strongest and most amazing girl in the universe and added that this year has been difficult for all of us.
Kareena also wrote that tough times don’t last, but strong sisters do. She called Karisma her sister, mother, and best friend, and wished her a happy birthday with love.
Now, more than two weeks after Sanjay’s passing, Karisma has finally shared her response for the first time.

On the photo and video sharing platform Instagram, Karisma shared a short message saying thank you so much for all your loving messages and support, along with a red heart and folded hands emoji.
This is the first time Karisma has posted anything on social media after Sanjay’s death.
Karisma and Sanjay got married in 2003. Their daughter Samaira was born in 2004, and their son Kiaan was born in 2014.
