Indian actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh’s movie Sardaar Ji 3 is ready for its overseas release on 27 June, including in Pakistan, despite all the controversy in India and efforts by Indian film federations to remove Hania Aamir from the film.

The reason behind this anger in India is the tension between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam attack in April 2025. After the attack, Indian film federations banned Pakistani artists from working in India.

But even after the ban, Diljit Dosanjh cast Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in the lead role and released the movie trailer instead of stopping the film. Because of this, many Indians are criticizing Diljit.

Amid growing backlash in India over Hania’s role in Sardaar Ji 3, the Pakistan Central Board of Film Censors has now approved the movie for release in Pakistan.

After Sardaar Ji 3 got a clean chit from the censor board, actress Hania Aamir also turned to the photo and video sharing app Instagram and shared a post with her fans.

In her Instagram post, she informed fans about the shows of Sardaar Ji 3 in Pakistan and the cinemas abroad where the movie will be shown.

In the post shared by Hania Aamir, she gave full details about more than 40 major cinemas across Pakistan, from Karachi to Quetta, that are scheduling shows of the movie Sardaar Ji 3.

In the caption, Hania said that the movie Sardaar Ji 3 is releasing tomorrow and asked everyone to go watch it and support the film. She also sent lots of love to her fans.

Earlier, when Diljit Dosanjh announced the movie, he had said it would not be released in India but only overseas. However, Pakistan was not mentioned in that announcement. Now, news of the film being released in Pakistan has added more fuel to the controversy.

After the Pahalgam attack, there were reports that Hania Aamir had been removed from the film due to India’s aggressive reaction.

But when Diljit Dosanjh recently released the trailer of Sardaar Ji 3 and people saw Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in it, many in India became furious.

Because of her role in the movie, Diljit Dosanjh is now facing threats of being banned by the Indian film industry, calls for his boycott, and even the risk of having his passport cancelled.

After the trolling on social media, the film’s producer spoke to Indian media and explained that the shooting of the movie was completed long before the Pahalgam attack happened.

Talking about the cast of the movie, besides Diljit and Hania, Sardaar Ji 3 also features Neeru Bajwa, Jasmine Bajwa, Manoj Vaj, Gulshan Grover, and other actors in important roles. The movie is directed by Amar Hundal, and Diljit is also one of the co-producers.

The interesting part is that Sardaar Ji 3 will be released overseas, including in Pakistan, on 27 June 2025, but not in India. This has come as another big shock for Indian fans.
