In 2004, Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, and Aftab Shivdasani came together for the first time in the comedy film Masti, directed by Indra Kumar.
Ajay Devgn also played an important role in the film. It became a surprise hit at the box office in India and opened the doors for adult comedy in Bollywood.
After the success of the first film, three sequels were released. The film turned into a full franchise with Grand Masti and Great Grand Masti. Now, the makers are ready to bring Masti 4, which will be directed by Milap Milan Zaveri and is planned to release in 2026.
According to an exclusive report by Pinkvilla, the fourth part of the Masti series will come with a twist.
Sources revealed that Masti 4 will be more like reverse Masti because this time, the female characters will also be involved in extramarital affairs. The first three parts mainly focused on the funny situations caused by the affairs of the three male leads.
But in the fourth film, both the husbands and wives will be involved in a double game, leading to hilarious moments as each one tries to outsmart the other.
Sources also said that the shooting of the film is going on in full swing, and the makers are planning to release it in summer 2026.
They also mentioned that Masti 4 will be more similar in style to the original Masti than its sequels Grand Masti and Great Grand Masti.
The film will be a screenplay-based comedy with a bit of thrill, and the makers have created a strong supporting cast to go with the three main actors.
Meanwhile, director Indra Kumar is currently busy editing his next film Total Dhamaal, which stars Ajay Devgn in the lead along with Riteish Deshmukh, Madhuri Dixit, and Javed Jaffrey.
On the other hand, Milap Zaveri is preparing for the release of Deewaniyat starring Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa.
