Famous actor Nabeel Zafar reacted to the introduction of the electronic challan system by Karachi traffic police and said that people who drive in Karachi should be given rewards instead of fines.
The Sindh government recently activated the e-challan system on several roads in Karachi, which includes heavy fines for traffic violations.
Under this system, speeding, breaking signals, or driving without a license can result in fines ranging from five thousand to twenty thousand rupees. The provincial government has also faced criticism over this decision.
Some citizens have taken the matter to the Sindh High Court, while different social and political groups are protesting against it.
After the new system was implemented, Nabeel Zafar posted a funny Instagram story saying that those who manage to drive on Karachi’s roads deserve rewards, not challans.
He wrote that the public believes drivers in Karachi should be appreciated for managing to drive in such traffic conditions.
His humorous story went viral, and many social media users agreed with his statement, adding their own funny comments.
