In 2024, Indian media reported that Ranveer Singh was cast as the third Don in the franchise, following Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. After this, the official announcement of Don 3 was made, with Farhan Akhtar returning as the director after a decade.
In the first film, Kiara Advani was cast as the lead actress, but she had to leave the project because of her pregnancy. Now, Indian media says that Kriti Sanon is the strongest candidate for the lead role in Don 3, and she is expected to sign the contract soon.
According to sources in India, most of the film’s shooting will take place in Europe, and the locations have already been finalized. The script for the film is complete, and consultations are ongoing with an international stunt team for the action scenes. The shooting is expected to begin in October or November 2025.
