Famous stage, film, and TV actor and comedian Nasir Chinyoti has advised Indian people not to hate singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh.
Nasir recently impressed everyone with his performance in the Indian Punjabi film Sardaar Ji 3. The film also stars popular Pakistani actress Hania Aamir and Indian superstar Diljit Dosanjh.
Due to recent tensions between Pakistan and India, the film was banned in India because it featured Pakistani artists. However, it did very well in Pakistan and other countries around the world and received great praise.
Nasir Chinyoti is one of the few Pakistani artists who have found big success in Indian Punjabi cinema.
He said that he has never worked with any Indian producers. But he has worked with famous stars like Gippy Grewal, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ammy Virk, who are not only superstars but also like brothers to him.
Commenting on the criticism Diljit Dosanjh is facing in India, Nasir Chinyoti requested the Indian public not to hate him or troll him.
He said that Diljit has always proudly represented Punjab and Punjabi culture across the world. He is a true Sardar, and he kept his promise by releasing Sardaar Ji 3. Such artists should be respected, not hated.
Earlier, in a recent interview, Diljit Dosanjh also spoke without directly mentioning the controversy around his film Sardaar Ji 3. He said that at a time when many parts of the world are affected by wars, we should look at the world beyond borders and nationalities, because many countries are in conflict, and we have no control over such situations.
He said that in these times, he believes music is something that unites nations, and he feels proud to be a part of it because he spreads love between people.
Diljit added that we should think beyond nations and focus on the world as a whole. All these borders are still part of our motherland, and he belongs to that.
