Additional District and Sessions Judge South has asked for the post-mortem report in the case related to the death of model and actress Humaira Asghar.
According to the report, the court heard the request for registering a case regarding the recovery of Humaira Asghar’s dead body.
Police submitted a report to the court. As per the police report, they contacted Humaira’s brother who said he does not want to register a case. The post-mortem of the deceased has been completed, and the police are now waiting for the forensic report. Further action will be taken after that.
Judge Salman Ahmed Abro said that they will first look at the post-mortem report. Advocate Abdul Ahad said that Humaira Asghar’s death does not appear to be natural. He added that both police and media have also found the situation suspicious. The family has shown no interest due to property matters. The lawyer requested that Humaira’s brother and other relatives be included in the investigation.
The lawyer also said that a JIT has been formed but an FIR should have been registered first. The post-mortem report did not clearly mention the cause of death. He claimed that Humaira Asghar was murdered and asked the court to order registration of an FIR.
The court said that in such cases, the government itself can also start an investigation. But if someone wants to register a murder FIR, they must provide evidence. The court has now officially asked for Humaira Asghar’s post-mortem report.
It is important to note that Humaira Asghar’s body was found on July 8 on the fourth floor of a residential building in Ittehad Commercial, Defence Phase 6.
