In a recent press appearance, Naveed Asghar Ali, brother of late actress Humaira Asghar, finally addressed the media, giving clarity on the family’s side of the tragic story that shocked the country.
Wearing a face mask and looking visibly emotional, Naveed explained the family’s silence over the months. He revealed that their elderly father, now nearly 80 years old, had recently lost his sister and was still dealing with that grief. Due to his age and emotional state, it was not possible for him to travel to Karachi or engage with the media.
Naveed also expressed concern over the way the media had handled the situation, pointing out that the landlord of the flat where Humaira was found has not yet been questioned properly by journalists. He emphasized that many important aspects of the case are still being overlooked.
Karachi-based welfare figure Ramzan Chhipa has come forward to show full support for Naveed Asghar and his family during this difficult time.
Another important detail shared by Naveed was that Humaira’s mother last spoke to her six to seven months ago. This long silence, he suggested, could be due to the distance and busy lives they all led, rather than any conflict.
With the growing public concern and criticism, Naveed’s statements aimed to bring understanding to a heartbreaking situation that has raised many questions about isolation, mental health, and the responsibilities we have toward those who live alone.
