Pakistan’s famous morning show host, Nida Yasir, has apologized to food delivery riders for her controversial statement.
Nida Yasir, who has been popular through her show for the past several years, was recently under heavy criticism for making a harsh statement about food delivery riders.
In one of her statements, she had said that ‘food delivery riders often deliberately do not carry cash so that they can get more tips’. Nida suggested that people either carry cash in advance or ask the rider to bring extra money.
After her comment, food delivery riders, including social media users, also reacted strongly and demanded an apology from her.
Now, Nida Yasir has apologized to the food delivery riders in a video message, explaining her statement.
She said that I had shared a personal experience with you, which was a really bad experience, but there was a mistake in my choice of words.
Nida Yasir said that such mistakes happen in normal life; my show is live, not recorded. When I shared my bad experience with riders, it should have said that ‘some people do this’.
She clarified that I did not speak ill of the entire riders’ community. Most of the riders are very honest and earn money by working hard.
Nida Yasir further said that I am not here to show my heart to anyone, but I am a human being and not an angel, so sometimes, due to the manipulation of words, the heart comes out in the wrong way.
Finally, she said, “If my Riders brothers have been hurt because of me, I sincerely apologize to them. Please consider it a small mistake of your sister and forgive me.
