Pakistani Singer Reacts To Sonu Nigam Copying His Song

Like everything else in Pakistan, the music industry has had its ups and downs. The worst problem, however, has been the lack of copyright rules and how Pakistani music is regularly stolen by India, with no credit given to the original musicians. From stalwarts like NFAK to the younger generation, all Pakistani musicians have suffered this before, and it appears that this time we will see a Sonu Nigam song that is allegedly not his own. Sonu Nigam has recorded Sun Zara for T-Series in collaboration with DJ Sheizwood.

Sun Zara appears to be a parody of Pakistani musician Omer Nadeem’s song Aye Khuda. He released that song 14 years ago, and it was easily pirated on YouTube. Omer Nadeem has addressed plagiarism. The singer stated that he doesn’t mind if anything like this happens at this point, but they should at least credit him when they duplicate his music. Here’s what he had to say:
