The acclaimed short film Screen Locked received an enthusiastic response at a special test screening and Q&A session held during the School of Tomorrow (SOT) event at Faletti’s Hotel, Lahore. Conceived by award-winning filmmaker Khalid Hasan Khan, who serves as writer, director, and co-producer, Screen Locked stands as a bold cinematic inquiry into the future of human behaviour shaped by technology. Alyy Khan also co-produced the 30-minute film; Alyy Khan appears as Dr. T.R. Mavani, a digital-addiction therapist confronting the moral and psychological complexities of an increasingly online world. He is seen treating a screen-obsessed boy; Addy, a character performed by Atabik Mohsin, an emerging talent, delivers a powerful performance that anchors the film’s emotional core.

The exclusive showcase brought together leading voices from media, fashion, and the performing arts, adding depth to an already thought-provoking conversation on digital dependency and the psychological effects of a hyper-connected world. Distinguished personalities, including Zarrar Khuro, a celebrated journalist and media commentator; Deepak Perwani, a renowned fashion designer; and veteran actor Salman Shahid, were among the notable attendees who participated in the interactive session and shared their perspectives on the film’s themes and societal relevance.
While the film continues to make its mark on the global film festival circuit. The SOT presentation was a limited engagement crafted specifically for the conference’s thought-leadership audience.
