Rajab Butt’s mother has come out with an explanation for his alleged drinking. According to details, a few days ago, Rajab Butt’s drunk chat went viral, in which he was heard using inappropriate words with his friends while intoxicated.
When his chat went viral and criticism began to mount on social media, Rajab Butt’s mother issued an explanation for her son’s behavior.
She says that Rajab Butt “was not drunk” but was under the influence of medication. She says that her son suffers from cough, sore throat and cold in winter and he takes medications that make him drowsy.
When she herself is with Rajab, she uses “natural remedies” such as hot water and herbal tea, but he is abroad, so she has to rely on medications.
Referring to religious and cultural references, she said that my son is Hussaini, not Yazidi, alcohol is forbidden in our culture and religion.
She also says that since drinking alcohol is common in the country she is in, people are making assumptions based on that.
