Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan’s health deteriorates further

Veteran film screenwriter Salim Khan, father of Bollywood actor Salman Khan, was admitted to the hospital yesterday after his health deteriorated.

According to Indian media reports, Salim Khan’s blood vessels on the right side of his brain have ruptured due to high blood pressure. He is currently on a ventilator and is likely to undergo surgery today. The Indian film screenwriter was brought to the emergency ward of Lilavati Hospital around 8:30 am yesterday and was shifted to the ICU due to his deteriorating health, after which his health improved somewhat.

It should be noted that Salim Khan wrote memorable films like Sholay, Haathi Mere Saathi, Zanjeer and Mr. India with his former writing partner Javed Akhtar.

He celebrated his 90th birthday on November 24, 2025.
