Shah Rukh Khan has shown strong support for his longtime friend and senior actor Anupam Kher ahead of the release of his upcoming film Tanvi The Great.

Shah Rukh shared the film’s trailer on social media platforms including X and Instagram. He praised Anupam for always making bold and creative choices in his career.

While sharing the trailer link, Shah Rukh wrote that his friend Anupam Kher has always taken risks in every field — whether it’s acting, filmmaking, or life. He also said the trailer of Tanvi The Great looks great and wished everyone involved all the best for the journey.

Directed by Anupam Kher, the film tells an emotional story about a young girl with autism who dreams of joining the Indian Army.

The trailer has made a strong impression on viewers online, and many Bollywood celebrities have come forward to support the film.

Before Shah Rukh, Anil Kapoor also praised the trailer on X. He wrote that some stories stay with you even after the screen goes dark — Tanvi The Great is one of them. He called it powerful, heartfelt, and deeply inspiring, and sent his best wishes to Anupam for the success of this labor of love.

In response, Anupam Kher warmly thanked Anil Kapoor and said that he is a great support system — mostly as a friend, and sometimes even as a guide.

At the trailer launch, Anupam shared that the story of the film is inspired by his niece Tanvi, who is autistic. He recalled a moment from four years ago at a family wedding in Gurgaon when he asked Tanvi what she was looking at. She replied, I am watching my world. That one sentence shook him and became the starting point for the film.

The main role in Tanvi The Great is played by Shubhangi, who is making her debut in the film industry. Other actors in the film include Jackie Shroff, Pallavi Joshi, Arvind Swami, and Karan Tacker.

The music for the film has been composed by Oscar-winning musician M. M. Keeravani.

Tanvi The Great will be released in theaters on July 18. The film aims to tell an inspiring story of dreams, courage, and inclusion.
