Abdul Razzaq, a former Pakistani cricketer, has made news for making obscene statements about Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai. In a live cricket show yesterday, he criticized PCB’s performance by using an incorrect example of Aishwarya Rai Bachan. He went on to say, “PCB and players need to keep their intentions pure in order to win the trophies, if they think that they will marry Aishwarya Rai and will get a pious generation, it will never gonna happen”. Remember that Pakistanis are outraged by Razzaq’s irresponsible words about the talented Bollywood actress and have taken to social media to express their outrage.

Today, Shahid Afridi weighed in on Abdul Razzaq’s statements when many people noticed him chuckling at them. “I felt scared yesterday, we were sitting in a conference where Razzaq was saying something, I didn’t hear exactly what he said and started laughing,” Shahid Afridi stated. In my mind, I assumed he must have delivered a joke in keeping with his personality, but when I saw the video, I felt terrible. I’m going to text Abdul Razzaq to apologize for what he said.” Mushtaq Ahmed and Sina Pasha felt the remarks were inappropriate and should not have occurred.

Shoaib Akhtar has also responded to the insensitive remark. “I strongly condemn Razzaq’s inappropriate joke/comparison,” he remarked. No lady should be treated in this manner. People sitting next to him should have raised their voices immediately instead of laughing and clapping.”
