Pakistan’s Oscar-winning filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy has announced the foundation of a unique museum where instead of antiquities, cultural heritage or archeology, there will be delicious and flavorful foods that reflect our culture.
On photo and video sharing platform Instagram, documentary filmmaker Sherman Obaid Chinoy has announced to the public to share their unique and traditional food recipes and unique and important stories related to them to be preserved through a documentary film. .
Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy says that through the Museum of Food, she will introduce the unique food and food culture of Pakistan to the world.
Through this museum, unique stories of different national cultures related to food will be presented for which they have started searching for cooks, chefs and foodies.
“I belong to a family where my grandmother used to prepare food for us using different techniques, but none of these recipes are now in Pakistan,” said Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy in reference to the Museum of Food.
This museum is being established to introduce the future generations to these lost rare food techniques and to keep our culture and food history alive.
