With the approval of Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, the Chief Secretary of Sindh has issued a new notification for the board members. According to the new setup, Minister of Culture and Tourism Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah will serve as the chairman, while the Secretary of Culture will be the vice chairman, and the Director General of Culture will act as the board’s secretary and member.

Other board members include the President of Karachi Arts Council, President of Sukkur Arts Council, a representative of PTV, and the Secretary General of Sindhi Adabi Board. Famous singers Sanam Marvi and Rajab Faqeer have also been added as singer members.

For actor representation, well-known artists Javed Sheikh, Ayub Khoso, Ahsan Khan, and Muneeb Butt are part of the board. Among writers, Noorul Huda Shah and Mehtab Akbar Rashdi are included, along with Yousuf Bashir Qureshi and Irfan Samoon.

According to the spokesperson, this board will work to provide financial help to needy artists, writers, poets, and actors. Financial support will be given based on the collective decisions of the board members.

Provincial Minister Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah expressed best wishes to all board members and said that the Sindh government is improving the system of financial assistance for poor and deserving artists, singers, poets, and writers. He added that all board members are experts in their fields and understand the struggles of their fellow artists. The minister also said that the Department of Culture and Tourism Sindh has always supported the province’s artists, poets, and writers.
