Indian women’s cricketer Smriti Mandhana’s wedding has been postponed indefinitely due to her father suffering a heart attack.
According to Indian media, Smriti Mandhana was to marry music composer Palash Mochal on Sunday at Mandhana’s farmhouse in an area of Maharashtra.
While all preparations were underway, her father Srinivas Mandhana suddenly suffered a heart attack and was immediately rushed to the hospital. According to doctors, his condition is now better.
On the other hand, according to NDTV, Smriti’s fiancé and music composer Palash Mochal was also shifted to a private hospital after his condition deteriorated due to viral infection and severe acidity.
Palash Mochal was discharged after medical treatment and returned to the hotel in the evening.
Smriti Mandhana’s management company has also confirmed the postponement of the wedding.
The cricketer’s wedding rituals had been going on for the past few days, with several players from the world champion team also participating.
