Pakistani actress Sonia Hussain won the international Best Supporting Actress award at the Eurasian Open Award Diamond Butterfly, held in Moscow.
The actress was awarded for her outstanding performance in the film ‘Termite’, which received special praise from international judges for its technical skill, emotional impact, and realistic characterization.
The ceremony featured 34 films from 17 countries, including two Pakistani films, ‘Termite’ and ‘Love Guru’. Sonia Hussain also shared photos and videos from the award ceremony on Instagram.
The organizers of the award say that this year saw a significant increase in international participation, while the presence of Pakistani films is a sign of the growing global recognition of South Asian cinema.
