Talking about the film, the director of Heads of State, Ilya, said that he sees similarities between his journey in Hollywood and Priyanka’s journey. He added that even though Priyanka was already a big star in India, she made a strong place for herself in the US as well.
He said that Priyanka was such a big star in India, and then she thought, you know what, I want to take a risk and see what happens. I want to go to Hollywood and try to rock there too.
Ilya added that it is a very tough thing to do, and it has always been difficult, no matter how big you are in your own country. The fact that she came to Hollywood and made her place there is the reason I have a lot of respect for her.
In the film, Priyanka plays Noel Bissett, an MI6 agent. John Cena plays the US President Will Derringer, and Idris Elba plays the British Prime Minister Sam Clarke.
