The man accused of trying to kidnap TikToker Samia Hijab and giving her death threats has confessed to the crime.

According to reports, the case was heard in the District and Sessions Court in Islamabad. The police presented the arrested suspect, Hassan Zahid, before the judge. The judge asked him why he had made the threats and tried to kidnap her. The suspect admitted his crime and said it was his mistake.

The police requested an 8-day physical remand, but the court allowed only 5 days and handed him over to the police.

A day earlier, Samia Hijab had released a video statement with evidence against the suspect. She said that she was being harassed in the same way as her friend Sana Yusuf, who was killed in her own home by a young man.

Samia also said the suspect tried to kidnap her and threatened to kill her. A case was registered at Shalimar police station, and the police arrested the suspect immediately.
