Pakistani showbiz industry’s leading actress Sarwat Gilani has revealed that a fan asked her what she was doing here while performing Umrah.
Recently, Sarwat Gilani appeared as a guest on a show on the video sharing platform YouTube, where she expressed her views on various issues.
During the interview, the actress talked about how fans react to artists performing Umrah or other religious duties in a surprising way.
Talking about this, she said that it is very strange that people say, you look very modern, what is your connection with religion?
Sarwat Gilani said that there was a time when I was performing Umrah in Mecca or Medina, I was going somewhere when a fan stopped me and said, “Oh my God, are you Sarwat Gilani? What are you doing here?”
He also said that there is a perception in people’s minds that if you are a girl who wears jeans or pants, you cannot be religious, but Allah Almighty says that every person is responsible for his own actions.
