Famous Pakistani director and actress Sangeeta, who got married in anger, has revealed the biggest regret of her life.
Recently, she appeared as a guest on a private TV program where she spoke about different aspects of her life, including some unpleasant events, and shared what she regrets the most.
Answering a question, she said that she neither married by her own choice nor by her parents’ choice, but out of anger. Decisions made in anger always end badly. Her marriage did not last long and ended in divorce after three years.
Explaining the reason, she said she was upset with her mother at that time. While she was shooting in Swat, she suddenly married her fan, actor Humayun Qureshi. When her mother found out, she became even angrier and told her to stay with him since she had married without consent.
Sangeeta expressed regret over her mistake and advised unmarried people to marry with their parents’ blessing so that if life gets tough, parents will always support them. If you marry against their will, no one will stand by you.
Talking about the biggest regret of her life, she said that from her first marriage she had a daughter, Mishaal. Out of fear of society, she married her off at the young age of 16, which she now calls the biggest mistake of her life and something she still regrets deeply.
She explained that since she was busy working outside the house all day, she feared for her daughters growing up alone at home. At that time, society did not look at the daughters of film stars with respect. Because of this fear, she married her daughter early.
She said that this wrong decision caused her daughter many hardships, and she feels that pain strongly even today. Among all her daughters, she has the deepest love for Mishaal. She added that by the grace of Allah, her other two daughters are living happily in their homes.
It is worth mentioning that after the failure of her first marriage, Sangeeta married again and had two more daughters, but her second marriage also ended in divorce.
