What were Junaid Jamshed’s feelings before his final journey? His wife has revealed.
Pakistan’s famous former singer and naat reciter Junaid Jamshed left music for religion. Now, for the first time, his second wife Razia Junaid has shared what his feelings were before his death.
Recently, Razia appeared on a podcast where she shared emotional memories about Junaid Jamshed and spoke about the tragic plane crash.
She said that since she got married to Junaid Jamshed, she noticed that he used to travel a lot, especially by air. His last trip before the crash was to Chitral.
She revealed that Junaid had a habit of asking all his wives if they wanted to travel with him. At that time, she had exams, so she could not go. But she remembered that before going to Chitral, he seemed very restless.
She said he was never like this before any other trip. He had just returned from the US and had to leave again for Chitral. He told her it would be cold there. The trip was supposed to be for 5 or 6 days but lasted 10 days.
She felt that he was a little sad before going and even though there were network problems in Chitral, he kept in touch and gave updates about his well-being. Now when she thinks about it, it feels like he had a feeling that his time was near.
Razia said that after completing her mourning period, she visited the place where the plane crashed.
During the interview, Razia became emotional while remembering how she found out about Junaid’s death.
She said she was in a Quran class and holding the Quran when she got a call from Junaid’s manager. When she asked about Junaid, he said that the plane was missing and he was going to Abbottabad to search for it. She was shocked. They had no TV, so she asked her son to check online, and that’s when they found out the plane had crashed.
Junaid Jamshed died on 7 December 2016 in a plane crash while coming from Chitral to Islamabad. His wife Neha Junaid was also with him.
At the peak of his music career, Junaid left singing and turned to religion. He started reciting naats and became very loved by people.
His final journey was also for spreading the message of Islam. He spent his last days in Chitral preaching and inviting people towards the path of truth.
