Indian actress and dancer Shefali Jariwala’s sudden death has deeply shocked her former husband, who is also a well-known musician.
Even if someone doesn’t know Shefali by name, they surely know her as the Kanta Laga girl. This title came from her appearance in the 2002 remix of the famous Bollywood song Kanta Laga by DJ Doll. Shefali was just 19 years old when she starred in the video, and it became an instant hit, making her famous overnight.
Shefali also took part in many reality shows like Boogie Woogie and Nach Baliye, but her most notable appearance was as a contestant in Bigg Boss 13.
After her death, her husband Parag Tyagi has been seen everywhere during her final rites. But many people may not know that Parag was not Shefali’s first husband. She was earlier married to Hermit Singh, a musician from the band Meet Bros, in 2004.
The couple separated in 2009. Later, after dating for several years, Shefali married actor Parag Tyagi. However, the couple did not have any children.
While Parag is heartbroken by the loss, Hermit Singh also shared his grief through an emotional Instagram story. He wrote that it was one of the most shocking moments of his life. He said he was completely shattered after hearing about Shefali’s sudden death and still couldn’t believe it was true.
He also wrote that they had spent some beautiful years together long ago, which were very special to him. He offered his condolences to Shefali’s parents, her husband Parag, and her sister Shivani. He added that he was currently in Europe and couldn’t attend Shefali’s funeral, which made him feel even more heartbroken.
At the end of his message, he shared prayers for Shefali’s soul and strength for her family.
