Indian actress Rani Mukerji once spoke about her past issues with Aishwarya Rai and also revealed why Aishwarya did not invite her to the wedding.

One such old conflict was between Rani Mukerji and Aishwarya Rai. They were once very close friends, but one incident changed everything and turned their friendship into rivalry.
It is said that things got so bad between them that when Aishwarya married Abhishek Bachchan, she did not invite Rani to the wedding.
The reason behind their fight was not very serious. It all started when both started thinking of themselves as better actresses than the other.
According to reports, during the filming of the movie Chalte Chalte, Aishwarya Rai was first cast as the lead actress. But suddenly, she was replaced by Rani Mukerji.
It is believed that Aishwarya’s ex-boyfriend Salman Khan was involved in this. He reportedly caused trouble on the film set and broke things, after which Shah Rukh Khan, the producer of the film, removed Aishwarya from the project.
This decision was shocking for Aishwarya. But what hurt her most was that her close friend Rani took her place in the film. Although Rani was not at fault, Aishwarya felt betrayed by her.
Later, when Rani appeared on Karan Johar’s show Koffee With Karan with Kareena Kapoor, Karan asked her about the issue with Aishwarya.
Rani avoided the question by saying that Karan already knew the reason.
Karan then made a hint about the movie Chalte Chalte and said, Chalte Chalte hi bata do.
Rani replied that she had no personal problem with Aishwarya, but maybe Aishwarya had a problem because she had stopped talking on the phone.
Rani added that she had not seen Aishwarya at any social event for a long time, but she believed that whenever they meet again, things would be polite and friendly between them.
According to reports, Rani Mukerji used to be in love with Abhishek Bachchan, but Jaya Bachchan did not like her. Jaya thought Rani was too proud and spoke in a loud voice. So she told her son to stay away from Rani.
Respecting his mother’s wish, Abhishek ended his relationship with Rani and later married Aishwarya Rai.
That is why, when Abhishek and Aishwarya got married, they did not invite Rani Mukerji, making it clear that their friendship had ended.
