Senior actress Salma Zafar Asim shared that even during her only son’s life-threatening accident, she continued shooting for a film because she did not want to leave her professional duties.

While speaking on the show Mazaaq Raat, Salma Zafar said her son had a serious car accident which caused a severe brain injury. He went into a coma, and doctors said there was very little hope for his survival. They also said that even if he survived, he might never live a normal life and would remain on a bed or wheelchair forever.

She said that at the time of the accident, she was busy with a film shoot. Even during those painful days, she would leave her son in the ICU and go to the set for shooting. She said she wanted to respect the producer’s investment, the team’s time, and keep her promise, so she continued working despite her personal pain.

She shared that her team kept advising her to go back to the hospital, but she stayed strong to complete the shoot. Salma Zafar said her real pain showed in her scenes, which made her acting feel more natural and powerful.

By the grace of God, her son came out of the coma in just one month and returned to normal life without needing a wheelchair or long recovery. Salma called this a miracle and a blessing from God.

She also said she has two daughters and one son, whom she considers the biggest gift of her life. During that hard time, her only strength was prayer and strong faith in God.
