Senior actress Azra Mohyeddin said that she always wears a saree with bangles and a mangalsutra because the outfit does not feel complete without them.
Azra Mohyeddin recently appeared on Sama TV’s morning show, where she talked about different topics.
In response to a question, she shared that she had attended Bushra Ansari’s daughter’s wedding. She loves wearing sarees and always wears them with bangles and a mangalsutra. She wore the same look that day as well.
She said that while attending the wedding, Bushra Ansari and her husband were greeting guests. During that time, a couple arrived, and the man looked at her from head to toe and said, this is exactly what I want. Bushra laughed and replied, at least meet her first, she is a very dear friend of mine.
Azra explained that the man was actually looking for someone for a role in his drama. He liked her appearance and offered her the role.
In the beginning, she said no, as she didn’t know how to act and had never faced a camera before. But he told her that he would teach her how to act.
Azra said she doesn’t have the patience to sit in front of the TV for long, which is why she doesn’t even watch her own dramas. Because of this, director Javed Fazil once scolded her. He used to tell everyone to watch their own dramas and learn from their mistakes. But since she didn’t watch hers, she was scolded.
The actress also said that in her opinion, a saree should always be worn with bangles and a mangalsutra, just like a suit is not complete without a tie.
She added that these two things make the saree look even more beautiful, which is why she always wears them as accessories with her saree.
Azra also said that if someone thinks wearing bangles or a mangalsutra with a saree is wrong, then they should also remember that the saree itself is not our traditional dress. So if someone chooses to wear it, they should wear it completely with all its accessories.
