Pakistani actress Mahira Khan expressed her happiness over the great success of her film Love Guru and also spoke about the criticism she receives regarding her age.
The film Love Guru, starring Humayun Saeed and Mahira Khan, has become a big hit. It was produced by Humayun Saeed and Salman Iqbal, written by Vasay Chaudhry, and directed by Nadeem Baig.
So far, the film has earned over 70 crore rupees, which is a huge success for the Pakistani film industry. People are still enjoying the movie in cinemas.
Mahira Khan was already praised for her acting in dramas like Humsafar, Bin Roye, and Shehr-e-Zaat, but now her performance in Love Guru is also getting a lot of love from fans.
After the film’s success, Mahira gave an interview to a private TV channel where she talked openly about different topics.
She said that whenever a film is released, it either becomes a hit or a flop. She thanked God for the success of Love Guru and said the team really needed it. When you succeed in a project, it pushes your career forward. You feel motivated to do more work and get busy with other projects. This happens with every actor.
Talking about her upcoming work, Mahira said that she is currently reading two scripts and will soon decide which one to choose. Her drama Neelofar will also be coming to screens soon, although she doesn’t know the release date yet.
About her project Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo, she said that her role in it is quite different and unique.
She also shared that she learned a lot from director Nadeem Baig. He guided her throughout the filming process, and she understood her character Sofia so well that it became easy to perform.
Speaking about the criticism she faces regarding her age, Mahira shared that her mother once told her about a video clip where someone was saying bad things about her. Her mother felt very upset and asked, why don’t you just hide your age?
Mahira replied that she cannot do that. She said she is open about everything — when she got married, when she became a mother, and even when she got divorced. Her age doesn’t bother her, and she is ready to accept all kinds of comments.
