Mehr Bano reveals that artists are asked for big favors in return for work
Pakistani drama actress and dancer Mehr Bano, who currently lives abroad, has openly talked about the dark side of the showbiz industry.
Even though she is away from acting and living outside Pakistan, she stays connected with her fans through social media. On her Instagram, Mehr Bano often goes viral because of her bold and fearless personality.
She also faces criticism on social media for her bold dressing, controversial photoshoots, and dance videos. Many people even compare her to Indian actress Urfi Javed because of her lifestyle.
Mehr Bano, who believes in living life freely, recently appeared on Geo News’ comedy show Hansna Mana Hai, hosted by Tabish Hashmi.
During the show, the host and Mehr Bano had interesting conversations and played game segments. At one point, a young audience member asked her about the dark side of the industry.
In response, Mehr Bano admitted that just like every industry has problems, the entertainment industry also has its issues. She said that many boys and girls have to face harassment.
She also revealed that sometimes people ask artists for big favors in return for work, and powerful people put pressure on them for roles.
Mehr Bano further said that showbiz is an industry filled with beautiful faces and attractive personalities, and because of this, people can easily become targets.
During the same interview, she took part in a game segment called Pass Kar Ya Bardasht Kar. In this segment, she was given a placard with a surprising question written on it.
While answering the question, Mehr Bano did not name anyone directly. But in a subtle way, she pointed out that some famous male actors in the industry have body odour, and it becomes hard to tolerate their smell on set.
She shared a recent experience, saying that during one project, she and actor Affan Waheed were uncomfortable because of another co-actor’s smell. But they couldn’t really do anything about it.
Talking about this issue, she added that she never directly tells someone they smell bad. She prefers to stay professional and tolerate it. However, this does affect the work environment a lot.
