When host Tabish Hashmi asked her why she had been away from the screen for almost 2 years, she said it was because of health issues. But now she is completely fit and ready to return to the screen.

The host asked another question and said that people have heard she was suffering from mental stress.

Replying to this, Nausheen Shah admitted and said yes, due to depression her daily life was badly affected. It became hard for her to eat or drink, she could not sleep, and her ability to think clearly was badly impacted. She always felt a strange kind of fear.

The actress added that it felt like she was going through a dark phase, a kind of darkness where she could not feel any happiness at all.

In answer to another question, she explained how a person can know if they are suffering from depression or not.

She said that feelings like happiness, sadness, and disappointment are natural emotions, and anyone can feel them. But a person who is truly depressed will find it hard to handle these emotions along with everyday tasks.

She said such a person may find it hard to express their feelings, and in such a time, they should get medical help immediately. Otherwise, the situation could get worse.

Nausheen Shah shared that due to fear, she didn’t come out of her room for months. She didn’t feel anything. Even if someone gave her happy or sad news, she didn’t know how to react.

In the end, she requested everyone that if anyone is going through such a condition in their life, they should immediately see a doctor.
