Yasir Hussain commented on the present quality of television, saying, “I seldom witness superb acting in Pakistani television plays. I am a huge TV enthusiast; I know everything about television, and I watched it a lot as a youngster. We grew up watching dramas like Ankahi, and we’re used to seeing stars like Shehnaz Sheikh, Javaid Sheikh, Saleem Nasir, Qavi Khan, and plays like Sona Chandi and Andhaira Ujala. We have not been able to generate Qavi Khan after him. You saw Irfan Khan, Manoj Vajpai, and others in India, and they created SRK, Salman Khan, and now Ranveer Singh and others; they build something for themselves.

When asked about role offers, he stated, “I get less opportunities, I get very few offers since I deny a lot, therefore the producers believe that I would refuse, and most drama makers do not offer me because of this. After much deliberation, I made my choice. Yes, if some friends ask me to play a specific part that is appropriate, I do so. Aside from that, I enjoy theater and cinema arts. “I do hosting for good money.”
