Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal has said that the government has decided to create a historical web series on Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
According to Express News, world-class historical series will be produced on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal.
On this occasion, Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal said that this project will not be just a ceremony but an important milestone of national renewal and intellectual revival. Telling a meaningful story is a powerful tool for nation-building.
He said that the young generation will be connected to the ideological journey of the establishment of Pakistan, constitutionalism and national values. The thoughts of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal are still effective and provide guidance at the global level.
Ahsan Iqbal said that historical dramas can become an effective means of soft power and cultural diplomacy. The government will provide seed funding of up to Rs 500 million for world-class production.
The Federal Minister said that an academic workshop will be organized for writers and producers, historical research and intellectual depth will be ensured, while research-based, authentic and world-class historical productions will be produced and the national heritage will be harmonized with the requirements of the digital age.
He further said that the national narrative will be strengthened by partnering with the creative industry, and the constitutional struggle of Quaid-e-Azam and the intellectual vision of Allama Iqbal will be made part of the global narrative.
