How long will it take for Dipika Kakar to recover?
Actor Shoaib Ibrahim has shared a health update about his wife, actress Dipika Kakar, saying that it may take up to two more years for her to fully recover.
In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Shoaib informed fans about Dipika’s upcoming treatment.
He stated that although there are currently no cancer cells in Dipika’s body, the tumor was quite severe, so there is still a possibility of it returning.
He said, “At first, we thought everything would be fine once the tumor was removed, but now there is a possibility of it returning. When we saw the biopsy report, we realized the tumor was very dangerous.”
Shoaib Ibrahim further explained the treatment options for liver cancer, stating that there are two types of treatments: immunotherapy and targeted therapy. In targeted therapy, oral medications are given. Dipika will now begin treatment through targeted therapy.

In her post, Dipika wrote that, as many of you know, the past few weeks have been extremely difficult for them. She initially went to the hospital with complaints of upper abdominal pain, and that’s when it was discovered that she had a tumor in her liver the size of a tennis ball. Later, it was confirmed to be a stage two cancerous tumor.
She added that this was the most difficult period of their lives — something they endured and deeply felt.
Last month, Dipika underwent a 14-hour-long surgery, after which she was discharged from the hospital.
