Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh has created a new history by winning the Oscar for the film ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’.

Michelle Yeoh is the first woman from Asia to win an Oscar in the ‘Best Actress’ category.

“This is indeed a historic moment, and thanks to the Academy for recognizing and truly representing the different cultures of the world by giving me this award,” he said while receiving the award.

“I think that’s what we’ve been working really hard for for a long time and tonight we made history,” he said.

“This is not just for the Asian community but for all those identified as minorities,” he added.
